This is a potent tea….my taste buds love it but everyone has their own preferences. Feel free to water it down if need be.
I fill my hydro flask and sip on this tea throughout the day. This is also a very effective digestion blend of tea so its good to drink right after meals or during.
RECIPE:
2 inch piece ginger
1 teaspoon fennel seed
1 heaping teaspoon cinnamon
2 heaping teaspoon licorice root
1 heaping teaspoon chaga mushroom
In a small saucepan, bring two cups of water to boil.
Coarsely chop ginger root-don’t worry about removing skin. Add the chopped ginger, fennel seeds, cinnamon and licorice root to water. Reduce heat to low and simmer, covered for 15mns.
When done strain and add the chaga mushroom powder at this time.
I became addicted to this blend its my favorite now! The licorice root really helps me get a extra pep in my step in the morning and doesn’t give me jitters like caffeine does.

GINGER: Certain chemical compounds in fresh ginger help your body ward off germs. They’re especially good at halting growth of bacteria like E.coli and shigella, and they may also keep viruses like RSV at bay. Ginger is loaded with antioxidants, compounds that prevent stress and damage to your body’s DNA. They may help your body fight off chronic diseases like high blood pressure, heart disease, and diseases of the lungs, plus promote healthy aging.
CINNAMON: Cinnamon's antioxidant properties are what makes it especially beneficial to include in your diet. As little as half a teaspoon of cinnamon daily can have positive effects on blood sugar levels, digestion, immunity and more. However, stronger doses are also extremely beneficial for improving heart disease risk and cutting your risk of diabetes, cancer and neurodegenerative diseases.
LICORICE ROOT: Is used to soothe gastrointestinal problems. In cases of food poisoning, stomach ulcers, and heartburn, licorice root extract can speed the repair of stomach lining and restore balance. This is due to the anti-inflammatory and immune-boosting properties of glycyrrhizic acid. There are more than 300 different compounds in licorice, some of which have antiviral and antimicrobial properties.
FENNEL SEED: In fact, tinctures or teas made from fennel seeds can be used to treat stomach muscle spasms caused by irritable bowel syndrome, ulcerative colitis, Crohn’s disease, and other conditions affecting the gastrointestinal system.
According to one study, fennel was effective at collecting free radicals, which cause disease. This suggested fennel extracts could be used to help individuals ward off the effects of many chronic diseases and dangerous health conditions, including cancer, hardening of the arteries or atherosclerosis, and inflammation.
CHAGA MUSHROOM: For centuries, people have used chaga mushrooms for medicinal purposes. Packed with antioxidants, chaga mushroom is available in tea or supplement form. Its extract may fight cancer and improve immunity, chronic inflammation, blood sugar and cholesterol levels.
A 2010 study found that chaga could slow the growth of lung, breast, and cervical cancer cells in a petri dish. The same study also found that chaga could slow the growth of tumors in mice.
A 2009 study found that triterpenes, the compounds found in chaga and some other mushrooms, cause tumor cells to self-destruct. Unlike other cancer treatments, however, chaga does not appear to harm healthy cells.
All of these ingredients have so many health benefits I could go on and on. These are just a few…..I Hope you all enjoy!
